Depending upon the current COVID-19 conditions and the closure orders from national, state, and local agencies after the transition period will determine when we will provide on-campus remote learning. Presently, our plan is to offer this to parents after September 15th. A number of enhanced health and safety protocols will be in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All students and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms regularly and individuals who present with symptoms will be separated and sent home.
- Staff will be required to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to reporting to work each day.
- Parents/guardians are expected to screen their students for COVID-19 symptoms each day prior to sending their student to school.
- Teachers will monitor students and refer to the nurse if symptoms are present.
-
The use of face coverings will be determined by the level of disease activity of COVID-19: substantial, moderate and minimal.
- Class size will depend on the number of students who choose to participate in on-campus remote learning. Desks or tables will be socially distanced as much as possible.
- Student movement will be staggered to limit the number of people in various areas during transitions. Traffic patterns will be established to separate individuals to the greatest extent possible, and wayfinding signage will encourage social distancing.
- Alcohol-based hand sanitizer will be readily available and thorough hand washing will be practiced.
Do I have to connect with administration prior to transitioning to on-campus remote learning?
Yes, all parents are required to meet with administration before on-campus remote learning can occur. On-campus remote learning will start after September 15 depending on current COVID-19 conditions in our area.
